Planning a destination wedding in Cyprus? Take a cue from Sonal and Jai’s unforgettable two-day celebration at the beautiful St. Raphael’s Resort in Limassol. With sunshine, sea views, and high-energy events, this Indian wedding was the perfect blend of tradition, fun, and Mediterranean magic.
One of the highlights of this celebration was working with a trusted team of destination wedding suppliers in Cyprus. Having collaborated with these suppliers on weddings before, everything flowed seamlessly – from logistics to creativity – allowing us to focus on the moments that matter most.
Day One: A Wild & Joyful Haldi Party by the Sea
The festivities kicked off with an unforgettable Haldi ceremony in the afternoon. Guests went all in – playful, messy, and full of love. With DJ Nills spinning the perfect mix of beats, the energy was electric. What started with turmeric, turned into an all-out water fight, ending with everyone running straight into the sea to rinse off. It was spontaneous, hilarious, and the ultimate icebreaker.
As golden hour arrived, the resort lawns were transformed for the Mehndi night. With the sun dipping behind the sea, we captured some stunning portraits of Sonal and Jai before they made their entrance. The evening included heartfelt speeches and a series of high-energy dance performances – easily among the best I’ve seen.
Day Two: The Perfect Indian Wedding Ceremony in Cyprus
The wedding day itself was serene and beautiful. The Hindu wedding ceremony took place under a custom-designed mandap with the Mediterranean Sea as the backdrop. Every ritual was heartfelt and deeply meaningful, with emotions running high as Sonal and Jai exchanged vows in front of family and close friends.
Later that evening, the reception party brought the energy right back up. With lights glowing across the resort gardens and a buzzing dance floor, guests partied late into the night – once again with DJ Nills keeping the beats flowing.
