Tanya & Tapan reached out to me over a year before their wedding having shot a few wedding in their family over the years. It’s always an honour to be recognised of your work and instantly have a connection.
Tapan had planned a surprise proposal which he wanted me to shoot. Having done many surprise proposal shoot at Port Lympne in Kent. I always find it exciting and nervous as it is a challenge which I love! Going into ninja mode so that I cannot be seen and getting the reaction shots is what excites me. Once the shoot was done we ventured to the white cliff of Dover which was epic. The setting was stunning as the clouds set below us and could see the sea through the clouds. It was something out of a movie. They were so ecstatic from the shots they booked me for the Hindu wedding and reception was held at North Mymms Park which is one of my favourite venues to shoot at.
The Jaan procession started from the long drive and danced all the way to the main entrance of the building where the groom’s party was greeted by the bride’s family. It was great o see familiar faces as well as new ones and instantly felt the connection between the two families which set the tone for the rest of the day. The ceremony was conducted by Kamal Pandey and Shiv Gopal. Everyone rang a bell which was given as a wedding favour. This installed an amazing vibration right towards the end of the ceremony giving their blessings to the newly married couple. After the ceremony we went outside to capture their portraits. Tanya wore a Shymal Bhumika outfit complimented each other which resulted in stunning portraits.
